
Emergency First Aid for Appointed Persons
Course Aims:
To provide the students with the knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of an Appointed Person.
Course objectives
By the end of the training session the students will be able to do the following:
- Discuss basic infection control
- Discuss various causes of unconsciousness
- Discuss and demonstrate primary survey and recovery position
- Discuss and demonstrate CPR
- Discuss and demonstrate choking procedures
- Discuss and demonstrate bleeding procedures
- Discuss and demonstrate shock procedures
- Discuss Accident Report and RIDDOR procedures
- Discuss and demonstrate Emergency Service calling procedures
Course syllabus:
Infection control, unconsciousness, primary survey, CPR, choking, bleeding, shock, administration, liaising with Emergency Services.
