Principles of COSHH

Course Aims:

To provide the students with the training and knowledge to produce COSHH assessments in the workplace.

Course objectives

By the end of the training session the students will be equipped with the following:

• Explain what COSHH means in the workplace
• How to complete a COSHH assessment (demonstration)
• Discuss workplace hazards
• Discuss how substances can be hazardous to your health
• Discuss the Health and Safety legislation

Course syllabus:

Definition of COSHH in the workplace, COSHH assessment, workplace hazards, health issues regarding COSHH and legislation.
