Emergency First Aid at work

Course Aims:

To provide the students with the basic Emergency First Aid in the workplace.

Course objectives

By the end of the training session the students will be equipped with the following:

• Discuss how to deal with an Emergency
• Discuss and demonstrate personal hygiene – Use face shields / gloves
• Discuss primary survey
• Discuss and demonstrate unconsciousness
• Discuss secondary survey
• Discuss and demonstrate CPR – Adults, children, babies
• Discuss and demonstrate choking on - Adults, children, babies
• Discuss shock
• Discuss and demonstrate bleeding – Types of wounds
• Discuss burns and scalds
• Discuss how to fill in an accident form / RIDDOR

Course syllabus:

Dealing with a Emergency, personal hygiene, primary survey, unconsciousness, secondary survey, CPR, choking, shock, bleeding, burns and scalds, accident form - RIDDOR.

Course duration:

• 6 hours

Assessment:

• Continuous assessment by trainer.

Certificate

• Emergency First Aid At Work.

Certificate duration:

• 3 years
