Epi-Pen Administration

Course Aims:

To provide students with the knowledge and skills in how to administer Epinephrine (Epi-Pen).

Course objectives

By the end of the training session, the students will be equipped with the following knowledge:

• What is anaphylaxis and how can it be treated?
• How to recognise the signs and symptoms
• How to read and understand the Emergency Care Plan (ECP)
• What is Epinephrine and how does it work
• Demonstration in how to administer the Epinephrine (Epi-Pen)

Course syllabus:

Anaphylaxis, signs and symptoms, Emergency Care Plan (ECP), what is Epinephrine, how to administer the Epinephrine.

Course duration:

• 1 Hour

Assessment:

• Continuous assessment by trainer.
