Fire Awareness Level 1

Course Aims:

To provide the students with the basic knowledge and training in fire safety in the workplace.

Course objectives

By the end of the training session the students will be equipped with the following:

• Explain what fire safety means in the workplace
• Understanding the employers and employees duties regarding Fire Safety Regulations order 2005
• Explain what is needed for a fire to start
• Discuss fire emergency procedures in the workplace
• How to identify the correct fire extinguisher

Course syllabus:

Fire prevention, cause of fire, escape procedure, fire safety legislation and choosing the correct fire extinguisher.
