Supervising Health and Safety in the Workplace – Level 3

Course Aims:

To provide the students with the knowledge and skills to supervise Health and Safety in the Workplace.

Course objectives

By the end of the training session the students will be equipped with the following:

• Discuss the role of supervising Health and Safety in the Workplace
• Demonstrate how to complete a workplace accident form
• Discuss the Health and Safety law
• Discuss the to promote a positive Health and Safety culture
• Discuss workplace hazards
• Discuss workplace and occupational ill health
• Discuss and demonstrate how to monitor and measure Health and Safety in the Workplace

Course syllabus:

Introduction to Health and Safety supervision, workplace accidents, principles of Health and Safety law, organizing Health and Safety in the Workplace, workplace hazards, workplace and occupational ill health, monitoring and measuring Health and Safety programs.

Course duration:

• 3 days

Assessment:

• 2 hour exam – 60 questions all multiple choice (must obtain over 40 answers correct to pass)

Certificate

• Level 3 - Supervising Health and Safety in the Workplace

Certificate duration:

• Lifelong certificate, with yearly refresher courses recommended
