
To provide the students with an introduction to nutrition and health, to show them the importance of healthy eating and what is meant by a balanced diet.
By the end of the training session the students will be equipped with the following knowledge:
Food nutrition and diet, healthy eating and a healthy diet, fluid, nutrients, energy, protein, fats and carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, digestion and absorption, food groups, nutrition and life stages, malnutrition, special diets, food intolerances and allergies, vulnerable groups
