Course Aims:

To provide the students with the knowledge and awareness of vulnerable adults.

Course objectives

By the end of the training session the students will be equipped with the following:

• Discuss who vulnerable adults are
• Discuss different types of abuse
• Discuss possible indicators of abuse
• Discuss your responsibilities when dealing with abuse
• Discuss whistle blowing
• Discuss how to create a safe environment

Course syllabus:

Who vulnerable adults are, different types of abuse, indicators of abuse, your responsibilities when dealing with abuse, whistle blowing, creating a safe environment.

Course duration:

• 4 hours

Assessment:

• Continuous assessment by trainer - group activities.
